A 15-Minute OT School Acceptance Photo Session At Northwestern State University


Some photo sessions are short, simple, and still incredibly meaningful — and this OT school acceptance session was one of them.


This session was for one of my sorority sisters and celebrated a huge academic milestone: her acceptance into occupational therapy school. When she received her acceptance letter, we knew we wanted to document the moment — not with anything over the top, but with photos that felt intentional, authentic, and true to who she is.


College Milestone Photography on Campus


We scheduled a 15-minute photo session on the campus of Northwestern State University of Louisiana, a place that has played such an important role in her journey. From long nights studying to friendships built between classes, this campus holds years of memories — making it the perfect backdrop for celebrating her next chapter.


It was a cold, crisp day — the kind that makes your hands numb but your heart feel full. Even with the chilly air, she showed up glowing with pride and confidence, ready to celebrate how far she had come and where she was headed next.

The session itself was beautifully simple. No elaborate setup. No long timeline. Just meaningful images captured in a familiar place that represents growth, hard work, and perseverance.


Celebrating Big Moments in Small Windows of Time


What I love most about sessions like this is the reminder that not every milestone needs hours to be unforgettable. Sometimes all it takes is fifteen minutes, a college campus, and a dream finally becoming reality.


Getting to document moments like this — especially for friends stepping into their futures — is one of the greatest honors of what I do as a photographer.
